Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup dairy free milk of your choosing
  • 3/4 cup cane juice, coconut sugar or organic brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup or brown rice syrup
  • 1 TBS water
  • 1 TBS arrowroot starch
  • 2 TBS Dairy free butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, whisk milk and sweeteners. Cook them over medium heat for three minutes, whisking occasionally.
  2. Whisk water and arrowroot in a small bowl. Add the mixture to the saucepan, and whisk again. Cook the mixture, whisking, for 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  3. After removing the saucepan from heat, whisk in your remaining ingredients.
  4. You can serve over cakes, desserts, ice cream or use as a fruit dipping sauce. Store leftover sauce in an airtight container. Refrigerate. Reheat as needed.
