Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 large yellow onion finely chopped
  • 1 large green bell pepper finely minced
  • 1 medium carrot finely chopped
  • 1 16 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce make sure it's gluten-free
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 pinch ground pepper to taste
  • 1 1 lb 12 oz pkg frozen tater tots seasoned or unseasoned

Instructions
  1. 1. Leave tater tots out to thaw while preparing the other ingredients.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  3. In a large cast iron skillet, heat olive oil and sautee onions, peppers, and chicken until the chicken is cooked thoroughly.
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients, except tater tots. Mix well.
  5. Add bag of tater tots to the top of the mix.
  6. Bake 15-20 minutes or until tater tots are cooked.
  7. Place under broiler to brown the tater tots to desired crispiness.
  8. Serve with additional ketchup. This can be stored in an airtight container and makes great leftovers!
